Terms of use
The agreement between your company and TeamOS.
1. This agreement
These terms govern your use of TeamOS. By using the service, or by accepting an invitation to it, the company you act for agrees to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. What the service is
TeamOS is staff management software. It provides employee records, attendance, leave requests and approvals, with per-company branding and settings. Features vary by account, and we may add or change them over time.
The service does not include payroll, tax filing, or legal or HR advice. You remain responsible for your own compliance with employment, tax and data protection law.
3. Accounts and access
- Companies are set up by arrangement with us. Once your workspace exists, your owner or admin invites the rest of your staff.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your staff do with the access you give them.
- Keep credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
- Each person needs their own account. Shared logins defeat the audit trail and are not permitted.
- Your workspace address is fixed once created and cannot be changed, because it appears in links, invitations and saved bookmarks.
4. Your data stays yours
You own the data you put into TeamOS. We claim no ownership of it and do not use it to train models, to build other products, or for any purpose other than operating the service for you.
You can export your data at any time, including while your account is suspended or a payment is overdue. We will never withhold your data to enforce a payment.
Because your data includes personal information about your employees, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold it and for telling your staff that you use TeamOS. Our privacy policy explains how we handle it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service unlawfully, or to store unlawfully obtained data.
- Attempt to access another company's data, or probe, scan or test the security of the service without written permission.
- Resell or white-label the service, or provide access to a third party as if it were your own product.
- Upload malware, or content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Place a disproportionate load on the service through automated or abusive use.
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
6. Fees and payment
Some accounts are paid, some are on a trial, and some are provided free at our discretion. Which applies to you is shown in your account.
Invoices are issued directly and paid by transfer. There is no online payment in the service today, and no card details pass through TeamOS.
If a payment is overdue we may restrict the account. Read access and data export remain available, we will not lock you out of your own records.
7. Availability
We work to keep TeamOS available and reliable, but we do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee. The service may be unavailable during maintenance or because of problems at a provider we depend on.
8. Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may terminate for a material breach of these terms, or with reasonable notice if we stop offering the service.
Export your data before closing an account. After termination it is deleted following the grace period described in the privacy policy.
9. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data beyond our control.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the application before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
